Today was a wet wet Friday. It rained and rained and rained. Next thing I knew, a bucket of cold water comes splashing straight towards me.
That's because, today EKAC Cafe is unable to serve cheesecakes. Not a single slice. NONE.
Thank goodness I saved a trip by giving them a call beforehand, intending to ask if it was possible for me to write a review of their cheesecakes and takes pictures as well. But the lady on the other line said "We're very sorry, but we don't have cheesecakes today. But we still have tiramisu, if you don't mind!"
And since I wanted to do a review on their cheesecakes, she recommended that I make the visit on another day and let them know in advance so that they can prepare the cheesecakes on time (for me, what an honour!)
OH WELL. NO EKAC CHEESECAKE FOR TODAY.
But there is the Never-Say-Die spirit in me!
Hence making an unannounced visit to JACK'S PLACE!

If i could, I would. That is, to marry a man who knows how to bake cheesecakes.
The wonderful part of a cheesecake, is that you can eat it alone with a glass of white wine, or have it as a dessert after a satisfying meal - to make the meal MORE satisfying.
